  General Precautions

  1. Read and understand how to safely operate the equipment
      you are loading/unloading.

   2. Always follow the Safety Warnings associated with the equipment
you are loading/unloading and follow the manufacturer’s
      operating instructions.

  3. When loading/unloading equipment, always remember that you are on an
incline. There is potential for flipping over. Be extremely careful.

  4. Always have a person watching as you load or unload your equipment.

  5. For every inch of height you are loading/unloading, your ramp(s)
should be 2.2 inches long; For Example: to load equipment into a
30 inch truck bed height you should have a ramp at least 66 inches long.
      (30” x 2.2” = 66” Ramp Length Needed).

  6. DO NOT alter ramp(s) in any way.

Lawn Mowers: Raise the mowing deck as high as possible.
Even with it raised, the deck can “hang-up” on the ramp and
cause an accident. Have your spotter watch for a potential
“hang-up.” Double and triple check the spacing of the ramp(s)
  and alignment with the tires.
Motorcycles: DO NOT ride your motorcycle up the ramp(s). You and your spotter should roll the motorcycle up with the engine turned OFF. Be on guard for “tip-overs.” ATV’s: ATV’s have enormous torque. If you over throttle the engine the ATV can bounce, change direction, or even flip over. DO NOT over throttle. Accelerate the vehicle slowly and evenly to slowly maneuver vehicle up the ramp. DO NOT stop the vehicle on the ramp. Remember: Always wear a helmet when riding any wheeled vehicle.
Never operate any equipment or use a ramp(s) after consuming any alcoholic beverage or medication.
- Never exceed the load capacity of ramp(s).
- Never load equipment with additional passengers or cargo in and/or on equipment.
- Never use ramp(s) as ladders.
